2700 North Ocean Partners With Magazines

SINGER ISLAND, Fla. – In keeping with the innovative design and high quality inherent in all Catalfumo Construction and Development projects, 2700 North Ocean on Singer Island is taking style to new heights: 27 stories, twice over, to be exact.

“The dual-tower condominium resort property will showcase three extraordinary models designed by three internationally acclaimed talents,” announced Dan Catalfumo, the project’s general contractor and president of the full-service firm that bears his name.

The visionary Catalfumo approached three venerable magazines – Architectural Digest, Conde Nast Traveler and Elite Traveler – and asked each of them to select a celebrated interior designer who would create interiors for a model residence at 2700 North Ocean.

“We felt that world-class residences deserve world-class design. Therefore, in partnership with these publications, 2700 North Ocean will feature a trio of innovative interpretations of the quintessential oceanfront lifestyle that is synonymous with this premier development,” he explained.

Working with Architectural Digest on the 2700 undertaking, Charles Allem of CAD International is known for glamorous spaces that combine sumptuous materials and sleek compositions. Katherine Kesler of Interspace Design Group, who is working in conjunction with Conde Nast Traveler, has created interiors for prestigious hotels around the world. London-based David Linley, whose high-profile clients include Oprah Winfrey, Carolina Herrera, Jo Malone and others, is representing Elite Traveler.

“Each of the models will carry the stamp of its magazine namesake. Additionally, all will be available for purchase fully furnished,” Catalfumo continued. “We’re certain that prospective buyers with discerning tastes will recognize the merits of this special and unique opportunity.”

Along with these three showplaces, Robb & Stucky Interiors is working on five model residences at 2700 North Ocean, while Interiors by Steven G. will put its imprint on three models as well as on the building’s grand lobbies and luxurious common areas.

“Although the 11 models are certainly sufficient to demonstrate the possibilities of living at 2700 North Ocean, there is a twelfth model,” Catalfumo noted. “A Tower Suite exceeding 9,000 total square feet will be the site of the 2008 Red Cross Designers’ Show House. The Greater Palm Beach Area Chapter of the American Red Cross will raise funds as thousands of visitors tour the Show House to see 16 other designers display their creativity, room by room, including the outdoor spaces that are ‘rooms’ in their own right.

As a bonus this year, Red Cross supporters will “ooh” and “aah” as they stroll through the other 11 model residences, because all are expected to open at the same time, on January 17. The Show House runs through February 16, while the other models will remain open until sold.

Buyers and prospective buyers will be able to envision living in these spectacular spaces as seen through the eyes of all these designers.

“The 12 models are anything but ‘cheaper by the dozen,’ quips Catalfumo. “No expense has been spared on interior architectural details and home furnishings, because the 2700 North Ocean buyer expects the best. We are now completing this exclusive development and it epitomizes the pinnacle of haute design, taste and style.”

The building amenities will also be impressive and include sumptuous spaces that evoke Ritz-Carlton-like elegance. Steven Gurowitz is incorporating rich, refined, transitional-style furnishings, colors and materials into his design.

The architecture of the building, crafted by Robert M. Swedroe’s team, further evokes grandeur with towers that feature modernistic facades facing southeast. Residences were designed with through-views to optimize ocean, Intracoastal and city panoramas and expand living space to the outdoor terraces. Living space is also maximized by a private elevator entry to each residence, eliminating long corridors.

Both towers are slated for occupancy in January 2008. Oceanfront condominium residences span from 1,700 to 4,000 square feet under air to penthouse and Tower Suites as large as 7,200 of air-conditioned living space square feet under air. Remaining available residences are priced from $1.5 million, penthouses from $6.95 million, and Tower Suites from $4.5 million.

Of the 242 total residences, 100 are resort residences, ranging from 1,725 to 2,335 square feet under air. They are currently priced from the $899,000 to $1.6 million.

2700 North Ocean is a development of Singer Island Condominiums, LLC. The general contractor, Catalfumo Construction and Development Inc., was established in 1978 and is a single-source provider of comprehensive construction, development and management services. The company is one of Florida’s largest, privately held companies.
