Catalfumo Construction and Development, Inc. Raises the Bar Again

Palm Beach Gardens, FL (February 9, 2004) – How does the founder, president and CEO of the largest construction and development company in Palm Beach County find the time to drive new development efforts and guide organizational growth, without getting caught in the minutia of the day-to-day operational decisions?

It’s a challenge faced by top executives worldwide. Dan Catalfumo addresses it by surrounding himself with talented people and empowering them to execute his vision. He also believes in planning today for tomorrow’s needs.

Over the past two years, Dan Catalfumo and his Executive Team - Stephen Fisher, Executive Vice President, Harry Darling Chief Operating Officer, Paul Simonson Chief Financial Officer, James Jacoby Esq. General Counsel, and Jane Ballard, Vice President of Administration - have been designing the organizational framework to carry on the Catalfumo tradition of providing its clients with the most comprehensive services and highest quality product. The most important thing to Catalfumo is its clients; the company’s greatest assets are its employees, or family members, as they are known. “We are determined to maintain the company’s reputation while sustaining continued growth.”

Recognizing that one person cannot be “all things,” Catalfumo and his Executive Management Team targeted initiating an expanded use of its senior construction personnel. Catalfumo has assembled some of the best and the brightest people in the construction industry to perform the operations of his company. By focusing on the fundamentals of operating excellence, internal strength, and leadership development, executive management formulated a plan to reward these long-term performers and utilize their various expertise to best benefit the client.

Catalfumo Construction and Development, Inc. expanded its senior management team, elevating five senior project managers to construction vice president positions, who will report directly to the Executive Team. This new infrastructure will drive day-to-day decision making to the field, further flattening the organization, while allowing Catalfumo to focus his efforts on development, client relations and community involvement.

“As the company evolves, so must our infrastructure,” said Catalfumo. “ We are very proud of the company’s accomplishments, and are confident we have a management team that will help us achieve continued success while keeping to our core principal of providing quality from the ground up.”

Promoting from within has always been Catalfumo’s credo. The Executive Management Team recognized that continued growth is eminent. Empowering these individuals and mentoring for success is how Catalfumo will continue to advance and grow. These individuals have proven that discipline, integrity and hard work lead to professional advancement.

Today Catalfumo is Palm Beach County’s largest General Contractor and Construction Manager, and Florida’s 12th largest contractor. Its construction services include education, high-rise, medical facilities, hospitality and multi-use complex construction. Catalfumo services also include real estate development, interior build outs and property management.
